A journey through water, fishing and tradition
The Dalla Bella family created Gaya Fishing Tourism at Terzo Bacino. It can also be reached aboard the traditional motorised bragosso Pianedo, navigating for about two hours through the channels of Caorle’s eastern lagoon towards the border with Bibione, through the landscape that also inspired Ernest Hemingway.

The casoni, living lagoon heritage
The two traditional huts have timber frames covered in layers of marsh reeds. In late autumn they housed fishing families during the profitable fraima season. Since the late nineteenth century and through the Second World War, they have preserved the roots of three generations.
Aboard the Bragosso Pianedo
Departure is from the Saetta canal near Caorle stadium. After roughly two hours of navigation, the boat docks at Gaya for a full lunch of traditional Caorle dishes made exclusively with local fish. Departure is around 2:30 pm, returning at approximately 4:30 pm.
